I've always considered myself lucky to be doing what I love. I grew up around different types of construction but, as a kid, I never thought I would end up doing it myself. I thought I was supposed to go to college, get a degree and then work in an office. Well, I did that… and it wasn’t for me.
I graduated from West Texas A&M with a Bachelors in Business Administration with a specialty in Marketing. I put myself through college with a small lawn management and landscape business. I've always been fascinated with business in general and since I already had my own small business, I knew a business degree would be useful. But, as you could imagine, work for a lawn business in the wintertime is slow, so I started to do punch-out work for a local high-end custom homebuilder during the cold months. Growing up, I was always around the early “rough” stages of construction and now, I was around the finishing work. My love for construction came back and I knew, this is what I wanted to do.
After college, I sold my lawn business and moved to Edmond, Oklahoma (a suburb of Oklahoma City) to start a construction company with my brother and good family-friend. We built that business with $12 million yearly revenues in just a few short years. After doing that for almost 7 years, I knew I was ready to start my own company but this time, I wanted to do it back home, in Amarillo.
I started Cornerstone Fine Homes, LLC in 2013 and haven’t looked back. I am passionate about construction. I'm hungry for the knowledge and understanding of what it takes to build a quality home. The leadership it takes to keep, motivate and retain the best trades people. And the discipline it takes to communicate effectively with my clients. I hope to get to know you just like you’re learning about me. I look forward to meeting you and beginning the journey of building your dream home!
